Valentine

Sweet valentine,

love of mine,

take my heart as a sign,

devotion to you and you alone,

a deep commitment my soul has sewn.

My love will never leave you alone.

Together we have grown;

the melody of our life sets the tone.

Shalom, speaks in the atmosphere of our home.

Perfect, I am not but my heart will never roam.

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

We are not perfect. God is love. Although, this is one of the most famous wedding scriptures I believe it is one of the most glossed over scriptures as well. In my human condition; I can’t love like this all the time but this is the very essence of who God is and that is a comfort to me and my marriage. Happy Valentines’s Day ♥️
